Per Aquum unveils international plans
Spa and resort management company Per Aquum is to expand its international portfolio with a series of new resorts, many including its Lime spa concept.
First to launch will be the Desert Palm Dubai in the UAE. The boutique property was due to open last year, but the project was delayed due to unforseen construction and labour issues.
Two Maldivian properties – Maakanaa and Soul Salus Fushi – will also open later this year. While Maakanaa will feature a Lime spa, Soul Salus Fushi will be a destination spa island.
In 2009, Per Aquum will open the Al Maaden resort in Marrakech, while in 2010, it will launch two properties: Prickly Bay Waterside, Grenada, and Zil Pasyon in the Seychelles.
Plans are also afoot for the company to manage a Cambodian island property, likely to include a Lime spa, which will open in 2010.
Last year, Per Aquum began the rebranding exercise of its spas. The new concept, called Lime, focuses on therapies tailored to the individual. (See Spa Business 08/02 p12. To order, visit www.spabusiness.com)
