Life Fitness has announced a new partnership with Ireland-based distributor FITTR, which was founded last year and supplies equipment across the country's fitness industry.

The agreement came into effect on 1 July and will see FITTR distribute the full portfolio of Life Fitness equipment across the country - including strength, resistance and cardiovascular products.

It is anticipated that fitness facilities throughout Ireland such as health clubs and universities among others will be able acquire the latest Life Fitness kit as a result of the deal.

Life Fitness key account manager Richard Burden said: "FITTR's company ethos and strong focus on future trends aligns with Life Fitness' approach to the needs of fitness facility owners and passionate exercise enthusiasts."

FITTR founder and owner David Mahon added: "We look forward to being able to offer our clients a diverse range of the most forward-looking and engaging fitness equipment available."

A new website for the Irish market is also being developed and will launch in August.
