LOCOG director of sport appointed CEO of England Rugby 2015
LOCOG director of sport Debbie Jevans has been named as the new chief executive officer of England Rugby 2015 - the body responsible for delivering the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
The appointment will come into effect next month (October) and will see Jevans replace the outgoing Paul Vaughan, who has stepped down from the role by "mutual consent".
Ian Ritchie, a member of the England Rugby 2015 board and Rugby Football Union CEO, welcomed the appointment of Jevans - "one of the architects of London 2012."
England Rugby 2015 chair Andy Cosslett said: "Rugby will benefit from her experience in leading large teams to deliver major sporting events to a global audience."
Jevans added: "This has been an extraordinary journey and I am looking forward to putting my experience and expertise in to delivering an exceptional Rugby World Cup in 2015."
