Woodhall Spa golf academy 'opens to all'
The National Golf Centre Academy at Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, has announced that it is to open to the public in order to enhance the standard of teaching available to UK golfers.
Under the leadership of new head coach Neil Harvey, visitors are to have the opportunity to benefit from facilities previously only made available to elite players. A series of new programmes have been created, which are specifically tailored for novices; juniors; and people looking for one-to-one tuition or residential breaks.
A floodlit, 18-bay driving range is at the heart of the complex, which overlooks an area that aims to replicate the challenges faced by golfers - such as trees and woodland areas. Facilities at the National Golf Centre Academy also include eight target greens to aim at, a large putting green, and individually-styled bunkers with differing grades of sand.
Harvey said: "This is fantastic news for people looking to sample the game for the first time or golfers seeking to improve their skills surrounded by some of the best practice facilities in the world."
