Batman: The Ride is world's first 4D free-fly coaster
Six Flags Fiesta Texas has welcomed a world first to its theme park, a Batman-themed 4D free-fly coaster.
On of the most innovative rides in the history of Six Flags, the eight-seat wing coaster uses 4D technology and beyond-90 degree drops, giving riders a weightless feel with magnet technology flipping them head-over-heels to create the illusion of flight.
Developed by US-based ride manufacturer S&S Worldwide, Batman: The Ride propels riders straight up 120ft (36.5m) before sending them along a 10,19ft (311m) track, which includes at six flips generated by the magnet technology and two beyond-90-degree drops.

"The magnets interact with certain areas of the ride that cause the flipping head over heels," said Jeffrey Siebert, director of marketing for Six Flags Fiesta Texas. "You never know if you're going to flip forward or backward or when the next big drop is coming."
The ride, which reaches speeds of up to 38mph (61kmph), opened to the public on 23 May.
