Beach and Watersports Centre in Swansea to open
The 360 Beach and Watersports Centre in Swansea Bay will open its doors to the public this weekend.
The new £1.4m facility, operated in partnership by Swansea University and Bay Leisure, will feature beach and water sports as well as football and rugby facilities.
Organisers hope to prove Swansea's status as a world class destination for beach and water based sport, as well as improving accessibility and inclusivity in sport through the activities available.
The opening weekend will feature free taster sessions for children and adults including beach volleyball, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and power kiting.
The project has been managed by Swansea Council and is backed by the Welsh Government through the European Regional Development Fund, Visit Wales and the Regeneration Area programme.
