Sauna and spa specialist Klafs has added dry salt inhalation technology to its portfolio
Klafs will be marketing a new Micronizer dry salt inhalation technology developed following its recent acquisition of Dutch company Microsalt International B.V.
Salt-laden air is generated by the Microsalt process using an automatic dry salt aerosol Micronizer, which regulates the salt mist concentration in an air-conditioned room.
The salt aerosol is designed to let salt particles penetrate deep into the
respiratory tract and the skin.
Klafs says regular inhalation has also been shown to support the immune
system with improvements in hay fever, asthma, bronchitis, cystic fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Hotels and wellness establishments including the Quellenhof in Meran, the Luzerner Fitnessparks
National and Allmend von Migros and the water parks of Fildorado (Filderstadt), Schinkelbad
(Osnabrück) and Ishara (Bielefeld) offer the technology.
Klafts CEO Stefan Schöllhammersaid: "Acquiring Microsalt’s innovative
know-how represents an interesting expansion of our product range."
Bart Zonnenberg, previous owner of Microsalt said: "The innovative Micronizer technology is at the beginning of a very successful development phase and in the future more people will be given the opportunity to enjoy our respiratory tract solutions."
